November Highlights From the Dubai Expo 2020
The world is talking about the grandeur of the ongoing Dubai Expo 2020. It commenced on a high note, with delegates from across the world joining in the inauguration ceremony. Expo 2020 is expected to be one of the biggest events of the year and is something that you surely shouldn’t miss!
The Dubai Expo 2020 stretches across six months beginning in October 2020 and going on until the March of next year. Over the last two months, there have been several business, entertainment and cultural events at the expo. From sustainability to entrepreneurship to investments; there are no limits to discussions, networking and opportunities at the Dubai Expo. So, let’s have a look at everything exciting that November witnessed.
A Marvellous November to Remember
The month of November began with grand Diwali celebrations with the city lit up. Then kick-started a wide range of events at the Expo 2020 that the young and old were looking forward to! With crazy crowds cheering, Usain Bolt hit the track for a 1.45 km run on the 13th of November. This was a fundraiser for Al Noor Rehabilitation & Welfare Association for People of Determination. On the 13th and 14th, the world-famous Les Ballets de Monte Carlo performed at Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre.
World Children’s day was celebrated by paying tribute to Unicef’s contributions to childcare and welfare initiatives. Across the week, other cultural troops from Brazil performed as well as solo Pakistani artists. One of the most exciting line-ups was the Jubilee Beats on the 19th and 20th of November. Visitors witnessed the world come alive as they were awestruck by cultures from Australia, Germany, India and other nations.
On the sports front, world champion Magnus Carlsen defended his title in the game of wit. Many enjoyed workshops on yoga as they learnt live from trainers. Music, dance and culture were on a high across the four weeks and will continue to beam in the coming months.
The Business Club’s Affairs
The Expo has a bunch of networking events almost every week. This gives an opportunity to some of the brightest minds to connect and ponder over the trends in business, science and technology. If you are at the Dubai Expo, you’re sure to be drawn to some of these highly intellectual gatherings in town.
Fashion designers from Hungary presented some of the most influential women in the industry at the ‘Pioneering Minds’ event. One of the coolest events that November saw was the ‘Business Matchmaking’ where young talents got to make the best out of upcoming opportunities in business. Yet another promising event in the agriculture sector was on winemaking and manufacturing. Lastly, the seminars on sustainability continued where people debated the hottest topic of environmental sustainability and its solutions.

Two months down, four to go! October and November have been quite happening in Dubai with the Expo around. But, there’s more to see, experience and enjoy at the Expo in the coming months.
